Sangamam Matrimonial Service (SMS) - User Data Privacy & Control
At Sangamam Matrimonial Service (SMS), we respect your privacy and give you full control over your personal data. If you wish to permanently delete your account and all associated data, you can do so using any of the methods outlined below.
Option 1: Delete Directly from the Mobile App (Instant)
- Open the Sangamam Matrimony mobile app on your Android device.
- Log in with your registered credentials.
- Go to My Profile or Settings from the bottom navigation or drawer.
- Tap on Delete Account / Delete Profile.
- Confirm your request. Your profile, photos, and personal information will be deleted immediately.
Option 2: Submit a Deletion Request via Email / Web
If you cannot access the app or wish to have our support team delete your account and data, please contact us with your registered details:
- Email: support@smskerala.com or palakkadwebs@gmail.com
- Information required: Your Matrimonial ID (or registered Mobile Number / Email) and Full Name.
Our support team processes deletion requests within 24 to 48 hours. You will receive a confirmation once your account and data are completely purged.
What Data Is Deleted?
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently purged from our servers:
- Personal profile information (Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Religion, Caste, Education, Occupation).
- All uploaded profile photos and horoscopes.
- Contact details (Phone numbers, Email, Physical address).
- Account activity logs, express interest records, and shortlists.
Data Retention Policy
We do not retain personal information after an account deletion request is processed, except where required by applicable laws for regulatory or financial auditing purposes (e.g. past payment invoices).
